Admission Procedures

Students are accepted to Renaissance Christian School of Excellence through a formal admissions process:

1. Attend a New Family Information Presentation
New Family Information Presentations give families the opportunity to discover more about Renaissance Christian. Families hear the details regarding parent/teacher partnership, parent roles, Renaissance Christian's scope and sequence, faculty credentials, academic policies and more. Student applications for admission are also available to families who decide they are ready to move forward with the admissions process. To find out when the next presentation is scheduled, please contact the school office by calling 704.323.5938 or email us at charlotte@RenaissanceChristian.net

2. Complete an Application Form
If after reviewing the school material and praying about this important decision you are still interested in Renaissance Christian School of Excellence, then complete the application and return it to the school office along with all academic records and other information as specified in the application packet. There is a $50 per student application processing fee required at this time. This non-refundable fee covers the administrative fees for the application process and placement testing.

3. Testing and Evaluation
Once we have received the admissions packet, we will contact you and notify you of the date for the placement test. Placement testing is required for admittance to Renaissance Christian and is administered and evaluated prior to course registration and family interviews. Testing is done so that we can more appropriately place students in each course.

4. School Admission's Family Interview
School admission is a one-time process that is handled by the admissions committee. The purpose of this meeting is to make certain that all of your questions about Renaissance Christian have been answered and to make certain that Renaissance Christian is the appropriate school for your family. Your admission forms will be given to the Admissions Committee Director who will call to arrange an interview. Both parents and potential students must attend the interview. Please allow 45 minutes for the first child, and 30 minutes for each additional child for the interview process.

5. Course Registration
A letter of decision indicating whether or not your child has been accepted as a student at Renaissance Christian School of Excellence will be sent. If accepted, the school’s registrar will send course registration information and will be available to help with course registration questions. A fee of $100 must be submitted with the enrollment packet in order to hold your child's place each semester.
